Who We Are

Welcome

At Drachman Montessori, in addition to multi-age classrooms, we focus on five pillars of Montessori practice to guide us in creating a Montessori experience.

The five pillars we follow are based on the Montessori Core Components identified by the American Montessori Society:

In The Spotlight

Jesus Celaya
Principal

Jesus Celaya is the proud, longtime principal of Drachman Montessori. He is the longest tenured principal in TUSD and southern Arizona, serving in that role for 20 years.

Rebecca Carreon
K-1 Teacher

Rebecca Carreon is the kinder - 1st teacher at Drachman. She has taught at the school since 2016, and has been nominated for the Magnet Schools of America's Magnet Teacher of the Year. In addition to teaching, she also manages Drachman's social media presence and loves sharing what students are up to in the classrooms!

Kathy Nye
Grades 2-3 Teacher

Kathy Nye is the teacher for 2nd and 3rd grades at Drachman Montessori Magnet K-8. She has been a teacher at the school since 2016. Kathy was a candidate for nomination for the Magnet Schools of America's Magnet Teacher of the Year award.
