School Photos - Wonders of the Sonoran Desert

The Montessori method is rooted in hands on discovery of real things. Camp Cooper came to present about all the wonders of our Sonoran Desert! The K-3 students handled various skulls, Saguaro ribs, and even the skin of a Gila Monster! 

School Photos - Habitat for Worms

Our students are building a habitat for worms with coconut coir, coffee grounds, shredded paper, and soil. Each week, we’ll feed our new friends with food scraps from the cafeteria—transforming waste into nourishment and nourishment into rich soil. This is a hands-on lesson in partnership with  AZ Community Transition teaches our students responsibility, sustainability, and respect for all beings.

Photos - Snack Time
In the Montessori classroom, even snack time is a lesson in grace and courtesy. Our students learn to cut, serve, and share fruirs with one another – building independence, kindness, and community one slice at a time.
